Mr Buckley's is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar situated on Hackney Road.
Named after Mr William Buckley, who attempted to burn down the building on the 18th of August, 1883. William Buckley was refused entry to the The United Radical club as it was then called and as a result attempted to set fire to the building whilst 250 people were attending a ball. Fortunately the flames were extinguished and Mr Buckley, arrested and everybody lived to tell the tale!
