Mr Buckley's is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar situated on Hackney Road.
Named after Mr William Buckley, who attempted to burn down the building on the 18th August, 1883. William Buckley was refused entry to the The United Radical club as it was then called and as a result attempted to set fire to the building whilst 250 people were attending a ball. Fortunately the flames were extinguished and Mr Buckley, arrested and everybody lived to tell the tale!
We serve a seasonally changing menu. High quality, local produce is used to serve an interesting menu that incorporates traditional British and European fusion cooking.
Brunch is served from 10am at the weekends.
Sunday roasts are served all day from 1pm.
The basement bar is open Friday and Saturdays until 2am, soon to be seven days a week...
We are now taking bookings large or small for Christmas. Please contact us for more information. Our basement bar can cater for parties also.
Mr Buckley’s has just been shortlisted for restaurant of the year at the London lifestyle awards! Very happy! Thanks to everyone that has helped Mr Buckley’s over the last 18 months.
